Two Years of Wedded Bliss

October 6, 2016

Or two year wedding anniversary was exactly a month ago, making it eight years total that we have been together, and it feels like just yesterday that we were just starting out. We grew up together, I didn’t even have a drivers license when we went on our first date. He has been there through my bad hair, college graduation, and my lowest of lows. He understands me like no one else and I only hope that I can be as good to him as he has been to me all these years.  A lot as changed for us this year, and all the while we were growing closer to God and to each other through the trials and transitions that came our way. One thing that has been on my heart lately is just perfect my husband is for me.  I knew when we got married that we were similar, but God was really doing something when he brought us together. Our senses of humor, passions, likes, dislikes, logic, pretty much everything except taste in music go hand in hand and perfectly compliment each other. All of this sounds so incredibly stereotypical and lame, but it’s all true. And I’m oh so thankful for it. I can’t imagine going through life with anyone else.  So while we don’t know what’s coming next, our home has a hole cut in the bottom of it (remember we live on a boat so this isn’t great) we continue to be close to each other and lean on one another and trust Jesus to continue to bring us through and that he has the best plan possible for those who love him.
